Can you change your major at Cal State San Marcos?
Students can change their major online through the Online Change of Major system found on the Student Center. Once this is done, the Degree Planner is automatically updated.
What are unassigned requirements?
Unassigned Courses are courses not assigned to meet specific GE or major/minor/certificate subject requirements. Students are encouraged to contact their Advisors if they believe any of the unassigned courses could satisfy any unmet requirement. Only courses with earned credit will appear in the grid.
How do you add a minor to a degree?
Students can add a minor only if they can complete both their major and the minor within 140 units. Student requests to add a minor must be approved by the Department Chair of the new minor. If the student has 90 or more earned units, the request also must be approved by the Associate Dean of the new minor.
Can you double major at Csusm?
It is possible for a student to complete more than one major within one degree (for example, a B.A.). Each major after the first major must consist of at least 24 semester units that are not counted toward any other major’s requirements.
How do I change my major UCSD?
Log in to iportal.ucsd.edu. Select “Updated I-20/DS-2019 Request”. Choose the “Academic Major Change” update option. “Submit” your request.
How do I change my major at CSUF?
You will be prompted to log in using your CSUF portal credentials. From the left-hand menu, select section (A) Change Current Major/Concentration To New. Select “Change Current Major/Concentration to New Major/Concentration.” Your current major will auto fill.

Minoring in something means you’re going above and beyond the bare minimum. That effort can impress potential employers as you’re searching for jobs after graduation. It’s an extra bonus if the minor is in an area applicable to them.
How long does it take to complete a minor?
Academic minors and majors differ in that the former is subordinate to the latter – fewer courses are required to complete a minor program of study than a major program of study. To obtain an academic minor, a total of three years of study at a university in a selected subject is the usual requirement.
